Ad 2 Honolulu

I volunteered on Ad 2 Honolulu’s public service committee for three years, including serving one year as the committee chair. The goal of this committee was to created fully-integrated, pro-bono advertising campaigns for one local non-profit organization every year. The year of my chairmanship, the club selected Ala Kuola Hawaii as the recipient.

Ala Kuloa is a court-sanctioned organization in Hawaii that helps domestic violence victims obtain Temporary Restraining Orders. They are also the only Hawaii organization that facilitates a national program to educate youth about respect and non-violence.

I had the privilege of leading the public service team in developing a comprehensive marketing campaign for Ala Kuloa, including a TV commercial, radio ads, print ads, and website update. The campaign was valued over $500k and helped fuel support for this worthy organization throughout the community.

I co-presented this campaign at Admerica 2015 in Las Vegas, NV. The campaign took 1st place in Club Achievement and 3rd place in Competition.
